A collaborative study by the UNESCO Chair, the University of Cantabria and the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) was presented in the “Communication of Food Environmental Footprint” session at the 15th LCA Food 2026, held in Montréal, Canada, from October 12 to 15.

ESCI-UPF participated in a research workshop at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Monetary Diversity Gathering II, represented by professor and researcher Mercè Roca, who shared research findings on the economic impact, potential and challenges of municipality-led complementary currencies.
